EVERYBODY’S A CRITIC…BUT NOT EVERYBODY CAN WRITE LIKE ONE!
Have you ever considered a career in arts journalism? Have you ever wondered what professional critics look for when reviewing a show? Do enjoy spirited discussion about shows at Festival and beyond, and about theater in general? The Institute of Theatre Journalism and Advocacy (and the Critic’s Workshop) may be for you!
Students in the Institute for Theater Journalism and Advocacy (formerly the Critics’ Workshop) participate in a week-long mini-course in arts journalism with faculty members from KCACTF and special guest professional critics and journalists.
Students interested in writing, criticism, and even literary management are encouraged to register for the Critic’s Workshop or contact the regional chair for information about The Institute for Theatre Journalism and Advocacy in their region.
