Student stage and production managers are encouraged to apply for a Management Internship. Student Interns assist with running festival events, such as the Musical Theatre Auditions, New Works, Tech Olympics, and other activities. It is an opportunity to work on a new venture, honing your networking skills with a group of new faces from area colleges and universities. Be advised that the work can conflict with other goings-on at the conference and may stretch into the evenings. The schedule will be made so you still have plenty of time to attend many events and performances. Past participants describe it as an eye-opening experience into how conferences function and a way to stretch your professional muscles before heading out into the ‘real world.’
Interns must pay the Conference Registration Fee, but housing (shared hotel room) and meals are provided by KCACTF. How to Participate To join the Technical Management internship program, please fill out and submit the Internship Application by January 5th, 2025. Be sure to submit a Program Inquiry Form and select Festival Internships/Technical Internships to be notified when the application form opens!
