Original Play Submission Deadlines and Guidelines
1. We have opened up the number of plays a student can submit. (In the past the restriction was 2 ten-minute plays, 2 one act plays, 1 full-length. You may submit as many plays as you wish.
2. You may submit a play you’ve submitted before (especially if you’ve made alterations to it).

All plays are submitted through Submittable; please be sure to remove your name and school affiliation from your playscript.
In addition to the National Playwriting Program, Region 1 is pleased to offer a New Play Development program called Next Up Plays that provides an opportunity for students to receive feedback on their Ten-Minute and One-Act Plays at Festival.
