Members of the Student Advisory Board are part of the Region 1 Leadership team. They meet regularly with Student Representatives to discuss the priorities of the students within Region 1 and advise the Leadership Board to promote student centered programming and to ensure that the regional festival reflects the interests of the students to the highest extent possible.
Qualifications: Students must be enrolled at least part time in an institution of higher learning. They should be in good academic standing and be generally permitted by their institution to participate in extra-curricular activities.
We are seeking members that represent a diverse array of lived experiences, including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender identity, educational background and more.
Term of Service: Student Advisory Board members generally serve for one Festival “year.” If they wish to continue for another Festival year, they may do so provided they regularly attend meetings and contribute to the advisory process.
